Vineyards
Fruit was selected from two specific blocks in the Rowland Flat area, including the estate owned Bungalow Block.
Vintage Conditions
Above average winter rainfall was followed by very dry conditions and frost events. Ripening was advancing rapidly until a massive rain event on the 14th of February slowed things down. This resulted in a low yielding vintage that produced grapes with freshness and concentration.
Winemaking
Extended time on skins was used to extract the natural flavours, followed by 18 months in a combination of new and old, French and American oak. These separate oak parcels were then blended producing a wine with brooding, dark flavours, which are regionally characteristic to Cabernet Sauvignon grown in the Barossa.
